Equine-Assisted Therapy
Life is busy, and it is easy to feel overwhelmed. We often start our day in a rush and fueled with caffeine. Copious amounts of social media consumption leave us feeling depressed and on edge. You may find yourself feeling caught between the push and pull of finding the balance between self-care and rest, with handling all the tasks that need to get done in a day. Let’s face it, life can be a lot. You may find yourself looking for escapes from reality in all the wrong places. Poor personal care choices lead to even more anxiety and depression, thus continuing what can be a vicious cycle. We are pleased to offer Equine-Assisted Therapy services to give you a truly productive and profound therapy experience.
The Equine-Assisted Therapy method is shown to build on one’s trust in self and others, boost impulse control, increase self-esteem, and much more. The range of traumas and disorders Equine-Assisted Therapy helps is as diverse as the people it serves making it a great option for anyone currently in therapy, seeking therapy for the first time, or getting back into therapy after some time away. While Hannah has experience with teens and young adults, her generalized specialties make her a great therapist candidate for all ages. Call today to schedule a free 15 minute consultation with Hannah Miller LLMSW CSAT Candidate to see if you and her would be a good fit!
How can Equine Assisted Therapy Help You?
You do not need to walk the journey of healing alone! Hannah Miller LLMSW CSAT Candidate combines her 20+ years of experience with horses and extensive training in substance and behavioral addictions to offer a truly unique approach to treat many different disorders and traumas that you may have experienced throughout your life. Equine-Assisted therapy is an experiential approach form of psychotherapy that uses interacting with and caring for horses to build confidence, trust, and empathy while also improving emotional regulation and social skills. There is no prior horse experience necessary as there is no riding involved with this therapy method. Working with horses gives clients an outward focus while exploring their problematic thoughts, beliefs, or opinions of self.
